Joe Hebel graduated with honors from Pepperdine University, receiving a B.A. degree in Theatre and Music. While at Pepperdine, he performed leading roles in a variety of musicals, plays and operas, including Die Fledermaus (Eisenstein), Ragtime (Younger Brother), Dido and Aeneas (Aeneas), Curtains (Aaron Fox), Pirates of Penzance (Samuel) and As You Like It (Oliver), and participated in the Chamber and University Choirs. He was also seen as Curly in the Simi Actors Repertory Theatre production of Oklahoma!, and recently as Lord Clapham in the 5-Star Theatricals production of Something Rotten and as Billy Bigelow in Carousel for Opera San Luis Obispo. In August 2022 Hebel performed the role of Gustav Ledoux in the world premiere of the original musical Camilleat the Santa Clarita Shakespeare Festival. Next up, he will portray Hollander in Bat Out Of Hell, the award winning hit musical featuring Jim Steinman and Meatloaf's greatest hits, which is in residency at Paris Las Vegas and opens September 27, 2022. Hebel attended the Heidelberg International Music Program, is a California Arts Scholar, and is an adjunct professor in the Fine Arts department at Pepperdine University.
